Earth Balance European Style Butter

We often use Earth Balance spreads not only for fresh bread, toast, and more but also in recipes. So when we noticed that Earth Balance now has a “European Style” available, we thought this would be even better.

However, we couldn’t really tell the difference between this and the other Earth Balance butters. It looks almost exactly the same and has the same texture …

… and while the Earth Balance website promotes it as “creamy” and “decadent,”  this butter is not nearly as rich and creamy as Miyoko’s Vegan Cultured Butter (which is  available just as widely, including at Trader Joe’s).

But this butter does melt beautifully — we sampled it on fresh-from-the-oven brown bread — and is quite good if you’re not looking for anything special or fancy in your vegan butter. And as always, it’s great when veganizing recipes!
