Innofoods Coconut Clusters

It was fun to find this gigantic bag of vegan coconut clusters at Costco (where we’d also discovered Hippeas). It’s hard to decide what’s better — the discovery of this snack, or the fact that there’s another organic vegan snack food available at Costco.

This snack is best for serious coconut people; the coconut flavor and texture is strong, which is great for those of us who love it. The clusters are also very sweet (there are only 7 grams of sugar per serving, but 6.5 grams are added), and the seeds add a bit of protein (3 grams per serving).

One thing to consider is that few of these clusters will actually be clusters by the time they make it to you; we found that the top third of the bag held good-sized clusters (the size of a small cookie); the rest of it was filled with smaller bits (the size of a quarter) and crumbles. The crumbles, however, are great on cereal (and maybe even mixed into other items like homemade granola bars). In other words, they’re good enough to eat in many ways (for example, with a spoon), so we’re not too fussy about it .

I’m glad to have discovered these, and in a way it’s a good thing they come in a gigantic, Costco-sized bag, since they are highly addictive.
