Miyoko’s Vegan Roadhouse Cheddar

It was amazing to find this Roadhouse Cheddar at our local grocery, especially because the last few times we tried to order it online, it had been sold out.

First, we have to say one of the best things about Miyoko’s is that all of the products have the word VEGAN right on the package. We love all plant-based foods, of course, but we’re especially fond of those that go beyond healthy eating and emphasize the importance of saving  animals and the environment. Miyoko’s mission is  “Phenomenally Vegan” — which, as the website states, is “the new gold standard for the future of food that emphasizes artistry, integrity, ethics and conviviality. It’s the credo that drives everything we do from the creation of our products to inspiring others to try this phenomenal lifestyle. Phenomenally Vegan is how we change the world. Together.”

And this cheese spread is enough to convince any omnivore that vegan is better.

Roadhouse Cheddar is rich, creamy, and has a lovely zing to it. As its name implies, it goes wonderfully with beer on fresh, crusty bread; it’s also great on sandwiches and bagels. It’s a great choice for those who like a zesty cheddar — as usual with flavors and consistency, Miyoko’s nails it.
