Alpha Foods Crispy Chik’n Patties

When we saw these chik’n patties near the Beyond Burgers at Costco, we thought we’d give them a try — and we are so glad we did. While the packaging makes these patties look rather generic, they are, in fact, incredibly good.

We cooked them in the toaster oven, for maximum crispiness (it takes 13-15 minutes in an oven, under two minutes in a microwave), and it was worth it. The chik’n was tender and delicious, and the crispy shell has lovely spices that will pair well with myriad foods and preparations.

These patties make a quick, simple meal so easy — and of course, there are so many more ways to enjoy them: in salads, in wraps, and so on. (If you surrender your email, you can get free recipes from Alpha Foods.)

You can also find nutritional info here — these patties are far healthier than they look (one patty has 170 calories, 10 grams of protein, and only 6 grams of fat), and even more tasty.
