We didn’t even know that Miyoko’s had pepper jack shreds until we saw them in the supermarket … and of course we promptly bought them (along with cheddar shreds — stay tuned for that review!).
Usually, vegan cheese shreds are fine when melted on pizzas, for grilled cheese, or as toppings for other dishes — but it’s rare that they’re good enough to nibble on cold, straight out of the bag. But then, this is Miyoko!
Like nearly all Miyoko’s products, these taste good straight. However, they are so much better when used for any dish that requires melted cheese with a bit of spice. They are by far the best shreds out there. Run, don’t walk, to find them at your local grocery.
